What is the formal job description.
What type of training is available if I took this position (OJT or Classroom)
How long is the training program.
How will my progress be measured during training and afterwards
How many people have held this position in the last 2 years.
Why did they leave this position.
How does this positions fit into the organizational chart.
What is the natural progression from this position, presuming I progress at the required rate.
Key Sales Questions:
What's the quota associated with this position.
What was the quota last year; was there any change.
How often does the company increase the quotas.
Is there a formula for establishing territory quotas.
How is this territory ranked in-relation to others in the district or region.
Cultural Understanding:
What department produces the majority of executives for this company.
Is the company financial, technology or sales driven
Does the company rally around departmental success or sales accomplishments.
What's the history associated with the President or Founder.
Is the company driven by educational attainment or OJT orientation.
General:
What type of goals have you laid out for yourself within the next 5 years.
How long have you been with the company.
How long have you been in your position.
What type of promotional opportunities are available from this position and department.
How many people do you feel you have to interview prior to filling this position.
Why are you going outside to fill this position.
What are some of the key reasons you came to work here.
